Feel The Draft
Over 500 attend 2008 PIHA Gateway Draft Party
With the second PIHA Gateway season kicking off on December 1st, over 500 inline hockey enthusiasts converged at Midwest Sport Hockey in Queeny Park on November 3rd, 2007. Guests were treated to food catered in by D. Marie’s, Pepsi products, and an evening’s worth of entertainment including the Tour Hockey Draft Raffle featuring the extremely cool and unique Cobalt Q skates, a live performance by
Jellydogg, and a video presentation. Over 130 players were drafted onto the PIHA Gateway St. Louis teams in front of friends, family, and fans. The four St. Louis teams also unveiled their new logos courtesy of Tour Hockey at the Draft Party. With an updated sleek and modern look, the four St. Louis teams will certainly stand out in the world of sports. With Bob Carroll as the MC and sponsors including Pepsi
Americas, On the Run-Mobil, CFM Shell, UPS (www.upsjobs.com), Tour Hockey, US Bank, Jeff Michelman and appearances by the Arch Rival Roller Girls, Tour President Walt Frazier, and members of the St. Louis Variety Club there was a little something for everyone at the event. Finally, in a surprise HUGE announcement, PIHA Gateway revealed a new sponsorship with Anheuser-Busch’s energy drink 180.
